Stylianos Venetidis ( Greek Στέλιος Βενετίδης , born November 19, 1976 in Orestiada ) is a former Greek football player .

Career

society

Venetidis only played in Greece during his 18-year career. After working at Orestiadas and Xanthi, he moved to PAOK Thessaloniki in the summer of 1999. 2001 won the cup with Saloniki. In the summer of the same year he moved to Olympiacos Piraeus . He played for Piraeus from 2001 to 2006. During this time he won four championships and celebrated two cup wins. For the 2006/07 season Venetidis moved to AE Larisa. He played at his home club for six years, after which he ended his career in 2012. In 2007 he was again cup winner, he got off with Larisa in the 2010/11 season. So he played his last season 2011/12 in League 2.

National team

He made his debut for Greece on August 20, 1999, in a 3-0 win over El Salvador . He was part of the squad for the 2004 European Football Championship , where he was European champion with Greece. At the tournament he played four games, in the final against Portugal Venetidis was substituted on for Stelios Giannakopoulos in the 76th minute . He played his last international match on August 18, 2004 in a 0-0 draw against the Czech Republic .
