The Tante Mia dances Electro Festival is the largest electronic music festival in northwest Germany. It is organized by plus2event GmbH under the direction of Thomas Wernikowski and Ralf Klaaßen. It has been held annually on Ascension Day on the Stoppelmarkt area in Vechta since 2016, marking the start of the festival season. Initially equipped with three stages, the Tante Mia tanzt has been offering four stages with different subgenres of electronic dance music since 2017 , which attract annual visitor numbers in the five-digit range.
concept
The festival is organized by the fictional eponymous Aunt Mia, so the visitors are also addressed as their nephews and nieces.
There are four stages at the festival, three of which are open air. The largest stage (main stage) is the “dance garden”, on which bigroom , dance and progressive house are played. In the “parlor” the focus is on techno , while in the “bass kitchen” the harder styles dominate. The latter has only been part of the event program since 2017. Only the fourth stage of the festival, the “hall”, is covered by a large palace tent. It says House -music in the foreground. In general, a combination of international stars and regional artists play on the stages. The site is supplemented by a chill-out area, food trucks, shisha bars and rides.
The finale of the twelve-hour event is each year the nightly fireworks in the background of the dance garden.
The festival's media partner is Radio Energy Bremen . Aunt Mia tanzt is also a regular stage host at the World Club Dome .
