In the teaser Club Show Tour is the third independent tour of the German pop schlager - singer Vanessa May .

The Teaser Clubshow Tour was Vanessa Mai's third headlining tour. It was a club tour that took place from November 25, 2019 to November 28, 2019 through four German cities in May. The tour was under the sign of a "new beginning" on the part of Mais and included as a so-called " teaser " parts of the studio album Forever , released two months later . An arena tour was actually planned for autumn 2019, but this was canceled in the course of the year, despite advance ticket sales. Mai explained the rejection by saying that the pressure to succeed had "almost broken". She felt controlled by others, lost her faith in herself and started to compare herself to other singers. Mai admitted that she had lost her initial lightheartedness. She had people around her who made her feel ashamed of what she was doing so far. She experienced and achieved great things, but could no longer enjoy them. Because of this, she took some time off and postponed her ongoing projects. The album Forever was supposed to be released in the fall of this year, but wasn't released until January 2020. The official advance ticket sales began on September 27, 2019. Fans who subscribed to the May newsletter were able to get tickets three days in advance via the “fan presale”. The Frankfurt company Live Nation was won over as a tour operator . The sold-out venues offered space for around 500 spectators.
The stage set consisted only of a few LED squares that were arranged in three rows. Mai wore the same outfit every evening, which consisted of a crop top , hot pants and a fringed jacket . With the exception of black boots, the rest of the clothes were white.

During the tour, Mai and her accompanying band presented 18 different titles. The repertoire consisted mainly of a musical mixture of electro pop , pop and hit songs , with some acoustic performances in the middle of the concerts.
More than a third of the setlist consisted of pieces by Mais - which was released after the tour - sixth studio album Forever as well as tracks from older releases. Mai played seven songs from the presentation album Forever , and a total of 13 new pieces appeared on the album. From the previous studio album Schlager , Mai played a total of four titles with Never , Stronger , Wiedersehen and We 2 always 1 . With I miss you so , never again and rainbow , she played three songs from the penultimate studio album Regenbogen . In addition, she presented each a song from their first three studio albums: I'll die for you from For you , my heart beats hit from Wachgeküsst and jeans, T-shirt and freedom of endless love . In addition, there is a “cloud-free medley” made up of the songs You are my island , I promise you nothing and give you everything , From Tokyo to America and cloud 7 . The titles from the medley are taken from the first two studio albums.
In the midst of the concerts, Mai presented best version , jeans, t-shirt and freedom as well as Spiegel, Spiegel three titles in acoustic form. She presented the song Regenbogen in a piano version as well as in its original pop version. The encore consisted of the title Together with you throughout the tour . After each of the concerts, Mai was ready to talk to her fans.

Reviews
Stephan Imming from the hit professionals described most of the new titles as “fresh” and “modern”, a new “style”. It remains to be seen whether this will prevail on the full pop hit market. Imming continued that in the near future Mai should continue to focus on smaller concerts instead of an arena tour, less is more. It was a "successful" evening, especially the guitarist and the drummer were convincing.
Patrick Kollmer from schlagerplanet.com described the new titles as clearly “poppier” and “danceable”. Mai stood out musically "noticeably" from the hit, but she did not make a complete change of style. The new material would have fit on one of the earlier albums. The “scratchiness” of the “happy on stage” from May reminded one of an entertainer on a children's birthday party , which, however, would go down with her fans.
Trivia
On January 31, 2020, Mai released the video single for Maisterwerk via the video platform YouTube . In terms of content, the piece is a thank you from May to her fans. The music video contains recordings that were made during the teaser club show tour . It shows backstage recordings as well as recordings during the concerts as well as fan recordings before and after the concerts. The total length of the video is 2:54 minutes.
