In the For You Tour is the first independent tour of the German pop - pop - singer Vanessa May .
background
The Für Dich Tour was the first independent concert series of Mai as the main act. Before that, Mai and her band Wolkenfrei only played in the opening act of other musicians - such as Fantasy and their Endstation Sehnsucht Tour - or they were part of various hit tours in which several artists were involved, such as the 2014 Schlager des Jahres tour or Das Best of the Feste Tour 2016 . The Für Dich tour extended over a period of two months and took Mai with her accompanying band through 21 German cities as well as three times to Denmark and once to Zurich in Switzerland . For May it was the first concerts in Denmark and Switzerland of her career. After the concerts, Mai held autograph sessions. As a concert organizer, Semmel Concerts Entertainment could be won over. The concert in the Tempodrom in Berlin on October 10, 2016 was recorded and published as a live and video album under the title Für Dich - Live from Berlin on January 6, 2017. The live album was released on CD and download, the video album in Blu-Ray and DVD formats .
A limited number of so-called "Early Entry Passes" were added to the box set of the previously published presentation album Für Dich , which entitle the holder and an accompanying person to early admission to all concerts on the Für Dich Tour and to participate in the soundcheck .
Tour changes
The concert in Berlin was actually supposed to take place in the winter garden (vaudeville) (500 seats), due to the great demand, the concert was initially moved to the Friedrichstadt-Palast (1,895 seats). This was sold out in a very short time and the demand did not ebb, so that the concert was finally relocated to the Tempodrom (almost 3,000 seats).
Initially, two concerts in the Sarrasani Trocadero were planned in Dresden . The concerts were originally scheduled for October 20th and 21st, 2016. Because TV recordings have priority, both dates have been postponed due to the recording of the ARD show Schlagerbooom - Internationales Schlagerfest . The two dates were merged and instead of two concerts in the Sarrasani Trocadero, a concert was held in the old slaughterhouse .
stage
- Stage cast
Mai received musical support from Roland Rascher ( guitar , keyboard and musical direction ) and Florian Schanze ( drums ) on stage. In terms of dancing, Mai was supported by two dancers - Chan, Daniel, Fatou and Sam - during the tour.
- Stage design
The set consisted of 18 square LCD screens, which were installed in three rows with six squares per row. A scaffold was built in front of the canvases, the first level of which was accessible by ladders at the left and right ends. Seen from the audience, there was Schanze on the left side of the stage and Rascher on the right.

Setlist
The set list during the Mais Für Dich tour varied between 23 and 24 tracks. The reason for the variation is the song Das Beste , which was only played at selected concerts. During the soundcheck, Mai played four tracks in front of all fans with “early entry pass”. The main show consisted of 21 or 22 songs and two encores. The program largely consisted of a mixture of the last two studio albums Wachgeküsst and Für Dich , with Wachgeküsst providing most of the titles, although it was the penultimate album Mais. From this album she presented nine pieces, from Für Dich only eight. In addition, with the Cloud Free Medley , Kiss Me Again and Jeans, T-Shirt and Freedom, there are three tracks from the debut album Endlos in love and with an intro , Without you (I'm not going to sleep tonight) , The best and Somehow, somewhere, sometime four new titles.
The intro is an opening credits that was newly composed for the tour. The other three titles are cover versions of Münchener Freiheit , Silbermond and Nena . Without you (I'm not going to sleep tonight) and Somehow, Somewhere, Sometime were published for the first time on the live or video album Für Dich - Live from Berlin . The best has not yet appeared on an album Mais. The song Sommerliebe contained a snippet from Do You Really Want to Hurt Me (Original: Culture Club ) and Lambada (Original: Kaoma ).
The concerts began with an intro, in which a heartbeat was first presented musically, before Mai addressed the audience with the words "My heart beats Schlager". After the address, the main show began with the song of the same name, My Heart Beats Schlager . After she played three songs, her accompanying musicians were introduced after kissing awake . Between the songs Zauberland and Meienweit , Mai brought a child onto the stage. After miracles are not just in heaven , a video review of Wolkenfrei was shown , followed by a Wolkenfrei medley of four songs. There was a 15-minute break after the medley. The second half of the concert began with another retrospective, in which scenes from the Hip-Hop World Cup in Las Vegas - in which May took part at the age of 15 with the dance formation Getting Craz'd - were shown. During Without You , fan letters were projected on the LCD screens. I will die for you concluded the concert , during which confetti cannons were also used. During the concerts, Mai made several outfit changes. She bridged the short periods of absence by speaking to the audience during the changeover.

reception
Laura Maria Werner from the German-language music portal schlagerplanet.com complains about the falling mood after the break. Mai found it a little difficult to get back to the high energy level of the first half. Unfortunately, it took too long until the mood was up again, as the other interview inserts projected onto the screen prevented any partying on the part of the audience.
