In the Best of the Festivals Tour 2016 is a new edition since 2005-annual " Best of the Festivals " event series.

In the Best of the Festivals Tour 2016 is the twelfth edition of the annual "Best of Festivals" event series, which was this year under the motto "The biggest pop hits of all time." The tour extended over a period of two months and took the participating performers through 33 German cities and once to Vienna in Austria. Ross Antony , Feuerherz , Vanessa Mai , Michelle and DJ Ötzi could be won as participants for the tour . The moderation was taken over by Florian Silbereisen , but Silbereisen also acted as a singer. In Magdeburg there was a guest appearance by Prince Damien , who three days later won the 13th season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar . The performers received support on stage from the Schweinfurt dance formation Dancefloor Destruction Crew . During the program the performers presented both solo interpretations and joint performances with the other participant. Tickets could be bought for an average of around 40 euros. With a few exceptions, the concerts usually started around 7:30 p.m., some concerts started at 6:00 p.m. and some at 8:00 p.m. The Austrian hit and folk music magazine Stadlpost was raffling off two tickets for a meet and greet .

During the series of events, the participants presented their current hits on the one hand and - as the motto "The greatest hits of all time" suggests - reinterpretations of well-known hits. Among other things, Vanessa Mai performed the Karel Gott classic Fang das Licht (in a duet with Florian Silbereisen) in addition to her current hits Ich derb für dich and Wolke 7 .
