For you - Acoustic Best Of the first is best-of album of the German Popschlager - singer Vanessa May .
Creation and publication
All tracks on the album were written by external authors. Most of the tracks were written by composers and songwriters Dieter Bohlen , Olaf Roberto Bossi , Felix Gauder and Oliver Lukas. All songs were produced by Bohlen or Gauder; Bohlen was supported by the co-producer Joachim Mezei from the Hamburg Jeopark Studio. Gauder and Mezei were also responsible for mixing, arranging and programming. The album was released under the music labels Ariola and Music for Millions and distributed through Sony Music .
On the cover of the album - next to the artist name and album title - the face of Mai can be seen. The cover picture is, with a minimal difference, the same as Mai's third studio album Für Dich . The difference between the two pictures is that on the studio album Mai's face can be seen straight, while here she tilts her face a little to the left, on her arm. On the back is the same picture as on the studio album. The packaging of the album consists of a cardboard slipcase. It shows Mai from behind, walking on a beach. The cover picture is by Sandra Ludewig, the design by Roland Reinsberg.
The first publication of For You - Best Of Acoustic took place on July 18, 2017. The album was released exclusively through the retailer Tchibo . It can be downloaded from their homepage and in all branches nationwide. The album consists of 20 tracks and includes acoustic versions of songs from all previously released live and studio albums Mais.

All lyrics on the album are written in German. Most of the compositions and lyrics come from Dieter Bohlen, Olaf Roberto Bossi, Felix Gauder and Oliver Lukas. Musically, the songs move in the field of pop hits . All of the pieces are songs that were previously published and newly recorded in acoustic form. Four shots already incurred in 2015. These come from an acoustic session in the Bader Studios in Weil der Stadt who Promo purposes in advance of the publication of Wachgeküsst , in cooperation with the "Playlist curator and music recommenders" Filtr , took place . The backing band consisted of Markus Braun (double bass), Martin Hauser (percussion), Andrea Josten (choir), George Kousa (arrangement and guitar), René Letters (drums), Florian Lipphardt (piano) and Nikola Sofranac (choir and guitar) . The track list consists of a "best of" of the first three studio albums, only one track was never published in a studio version. Without you (I'm not going to sleep tonight) only a live version of Mai's second live album Für Dich - Live from Berlin was released. The song Für dich is an exact copy of the number one hit by Yvonne Catterfeld from 2003. Without you (I'm not going to sleep tonight) , the original is a number one success of Munich Freedom from 1985 .
