Teikoku was a Japanese car brand.

Brand history

The brand was introduced for automobiles around 1947 . Teikoku Electric Manufacturing from Tatsuno as a manufacturer names April 1947 as the beginning of development and sales. The marketing was mainly limited to the domestic area in the prefecture of Hyōgo . This is also seen as the reason why the brand gained little awareness. In 1949 there were plans for expansion, but they were not implemented. In some months, 30 vehicles were built. Production ended in 1952 at the latest.

Only electric cars were on offer . They had an electric motor with an unknown engine power.

Around 1947 there was an open four-seater in the style of the Willys MB . The manufacturer shows a photo of this model on its website. A two-door sedan followed around 1948 . The doors were hung at the back. Likewise, at about 1948's vans in forward control drive dated. A photo shows that the batteries were obviously arranged in an underground construction between the axles . A four-door sedan followed around 1949. Three-wheeled utility vehicles are also dated around 1949 . They had a single front wheel, behind it a more or less open compartment without doors for the driver and then a box for cargo. The recipient was the post office.
