The Rugby Championship 2014 was the third edition of the annual rugby union tournament The Rugby Championship , the successor to the Tri Nations competition, which has existed since 1996. The tournament winner was determined in twelve games on six weekends between August 16 and October 4, 2014. Each of the four national teams played in a home and an away game against the other three teams. The New Zealand All Blacks won the title for the third time in a row .
