Tri Nations 2010 was the 15th edition of the annual Tri Nations rugby union tournament . Between July 10 and September 11, 2010, nine games took place. New Zealand won the tournament for the tenth time and was the first team to remain unbeaten in all six games.

- After the game, Bakkies Botha was banned for unsportsmanlike conduct for nine weeks after hitting Jimmy Cowan in the first minute of the game, which referee Alan Lewis missed. As a result, he will miss the entire 2010 Tri Nations.

- The South African Jaque Fourie was banned for four weeks because of a dangerous tackle on Richard Brown and thus missed the next match between the Springboks and the All Blacks.
- Australian Quade Cooper was banned for two weeks because of a dangerous tackle at Morné Steyn, with his impeccable discipline being a contributing factor. Cooper is therefore absent from the Wallabies' first two games against the All Blacks in Melbourne and Christchurch .
