Theodor "Theo" Helfrich (born May 13, 1913 in Frankfurt am Main ; † April 29, 1978 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) was a German Grand Prix and sports car driver.

Helfrich competed in the German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring from 1952 to 1954 , although he was unable to achieve any notable successes. He did not get any championship points; his only finish was twelfth in 1953 .

Theo Helfrich was more successful in the sports car. In the first 1000 km race at the Nürburgring in 1953, he finished third on a Borgward RS together with Karl-Günther Bechem and Adolf Brudes behind the more powerful Ferrari and Jaguar from Ascari / Farina and Stewart / Salvadori . In 1954, he won on the highway spider Dresden in the Formula 3 on a Cooper -T31- Norton .
