Boitzenburg Zoo was a nature reserve in the Uckermark district in Brandenburg . It was east of Boitzenburg , a district of the municipality of Boitzenburger Land . The 304.24 ha large area, a striking oak Book - mixed forest with numerous up to 600 year old oak trees stood since October 21, 1981, nature conservation . It was part of the 897 km² (= 89,700 ha) nature park Uckermärkische Seen , to which a total of 15 nature reserves belong.

In 2017, the larger Boitzenburger Tiergarten nature reserve and electricity went up.
