The Black Tangier nature reserve is located in the municipality of Mescherin in the Uckermark district in Brandenburg .

The area with the identification number 1488 was placed under nature protection by ordinance February 1, 1997 . The approximately 153 hectare nature reserve extends northwest of Radekow , a district of the municipality of Mescherin. The A 11 runs north and the B 113 south . The state border with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania runs on the northern and western edge of the area, the Landgraben flows on the eastern edge.
