The Melzower Forest is the largest nature reserve in the Uckermark district in Brandenburg . It is located southeast of Blankenburg , a district of the Oberuckersee municipality . The 2,830.66 hectare area intersected by the A 11 has been a nature reserve since October 1, 1990 . It belongs to the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve .
