The Kleine Schorfheide is a nature reserve of 73.75 km² in the north of Brandenburg . It extends over areas of the cities of Fürstenberg / Havel and Zehdenick in the Oberhavel district and the cities of Lychen and Templin in the Uckermark district . The current Protection Ordinance was issued on July 21, 2000. The nature reserve is partially included in the FFH area Kleine Schorfheide-Havel .

The purpose of the nature reserve, which was established before 1994, is, among other things, the preservation of large and previously unmanaged areas of the former military training areas Tangersdorf and Vogelsang , the natural Havel lowlands that connect them, and the Himmelpforter Heide forest area . It includes the waters of Tangersdorfer See , Großer Kramssee , Haussee , Großer Beutelsee , Großer Kuhwallsee and Großer Lankensee .
