Tamiathis ( Italian : Damiata ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church , which was a titular metropolitan bishopric until 1925.
It goes back to an earlier diocese of the ancient city of the same name (later Damiette ) in the Roman province of Aegyptus , Aegyptus Herculea or in late antiquity Augustamnica in the eastern Nile Delta in Egypt , which belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Pelusium .
