Chopard Trophy

The Trophée Chopard is a film award that is presented at the Cannes International Film Festival .

The award has been presented to young international actors since the 54th Cannes Film Festival in 2001 . The prize was donated by the Swiss watch and jewelry manufacturer Chopard , an official partner of the film festival and involved in the redesign of the Golden Palm in 1997 , in collaboration with the French film magazine Studio . A prize trophy in the form of a gold-plated film strip is awarded to the honored. In 2003 and 2009, German actors were honored with Diane Kruger and David Kross ( Der Vorleser ).
