Tunnel Trance Force

Tunnel Trance Force was a series of trance - compilations , in collaboration Tunnel Records , the in-house label of the tunnel clubs in Hamburg , with Sony BMG interlocutory 1997 and 2014 published four times a year. A selection of the tracks that were played in the Tunnel Club was summarized on it.

History of origin

The first Tunnel Trance Force appeared on the Tunnel Records label in 1994 with rather unknown artists and, like its immediate successors, limited to one CD per compilation. On the Tunnel Trance Force 7 - Join The Family from 1997, artists like Kai Tracid were found . These first albums were put together by Gerald Malke aka Gary D. , the later albums , with double CD, then by DJ Dean.

The next edition took place under the auspices of Sony Music. The series was released as a double CD from now on, starting again at number 1. It included artists such as Members of Mayday , DJ Quicksilver , DJ Energy and Jam & Spoon . At the next TTF, among others, Dr. Motte , WestBam , Nalin & Kane , Taucher , Vol. 3 contained tracks by Kai Tracid and Commander Tom .

On Vol. 4 there were DJ Quicksilver and DJ Snowman among others . In the next two were represented except Kai Tracid little-known artists, while on Vol. 7 then DJs like DJ Sakin & Friends, Paffendorf and DJ Snowman songs contributed.

The 8 vol. Included DJs and producers such as Lady Tom , Schiller , DJ Sakin & Friends and Talla 2XLC . The most prominent representative of Volume 9 , published in 1999, was Moby . This edition reached number 8 in Switzerland on June 27, 1999, the highest chart position that a Tunnel Trance Force CD should ever achieve in Switzerland.

The next edition, Vol. 10, was again filled with interpreters from the underground scene , while number eleven again contained tracks by well-known artists such as Kai Tracid, Faithless , DJ Energy and Tillmann Uhrmacher and landed at number 25. The track by Faithless Why Go was remixed by Ferry Corsten with the vocals of Boy George .

The following editions became steadily harder and the selection of artists was increasingly limited in the underground, sometimes even a bit of Goa was integrated into the sampler, but the series managed to place itself in the charts regularly. Number 12 reached number 11 in Switzerland and thus the highest position in this era of the Tunnel Trance Force albums after number 17 with number 10. Other artists were Aquagen , Mauro Picotto , Liquid Bass , Darude , Carl Cox , Technoboy , Warp Brothers , Miss Shiva , Brooklyn Bounce , Groove Coverage , Tiësto , DJ Snowman , Cosmic Gate , Paul van Dyk , DJ Tatana , and Global Deejays .

Scooter was the most prominent representative of Vol. 35, which appeared in 2005 .

A special US version of the Tunnel Trance Force has been distributed by Water Music Dance from Encino since 2005 , and an Australian version by the Central Station label . The samplers are essentially the same as the current European versions, but with additional tracks and the numbering starts again at one.

Since the release of the 72nd issue was postponed, Tunnel Records announced on request that the series would be completed with issue 71.
