Twann-Tüscherz ( French: Douanne-Daucher ) is a merged municipality in the administrative district of Biel / Bienne in the canton of Bern , Switzerland , which was created on January 1, 2010 . It was formed from the two communities Tüscherz-Alfermée and Twann on the southern slopes of the Jura above Lake Biel . At the same time, the former Reformed parish of Twann-Tüscherz and the former parish of Ligerz founded the new parish of Pilgerweg Bielersee and is its seat.

The municipality of Twann-Tüscherz was created on January 1, 2010 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Tüscherz-Alfermée and Twann .

With 1160 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2018), Twann-Tüscherz is one of the smaller communities in the Biel / Bienne administrative district .

politics

Municipality president is Margrit Bohnenblust (as of 2018).

The voting shares of the parties on the occasion of the National Council elections in 2015 were: SVP 29.9%, SP 19.4%, FDP 17.0%, BDP 11.9%, GPS 10.6%, glp 8.3%, EPP 1.3 %, CVP 0.5%.
