Tüscherz-Alfermée ( French Daucher-Alfermée or Dauché-Alfermée ) was a municipality in the district of Nidau in the Swiss canton of Bern until December 31, 2009 . On January 1, 2010, the municipality merged with the Twann community to form Twann-Tüscherz .
In addition to the resident community, there is an Evangelical Reformed church community (together with Twann ) and a civic community under the same name . Tüscherz-Alfermée is 87.2% a German-speaking community; 9.5% are French-speaking.

Tüscherz-Alfermée is located in the Bernese Seeland on the north shore of Lake Biel . The neighboring communities starting from the north and clockwise are Evilard , Biel / Bienne , Twann and Plateau de Diesse .
traffic
The village has a train station on the Biel – Neuchâtel line of the SBB . Here, on October 2, 1942, a head-on collision between a passenger and a freight train occurred because the engine driver had missed a signal indicating "stop" . 11 people died.
There is also a ship landing site for the ships of the BSG .
