Tyler McNeely (born April 8, 1987 in Burnaby ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been playing in the position of the striker for the Tölzer Löwen in the DEL2 since summer 2019 .
Career
Tyler McNeely began his ice hockey career with the Delta Flyers in the PIJHL, and then continued after a season in the British Columbia Hockey League . The left shooter played there for one season for the Surrey Eagles, as long for Coquitlam Express and finally two seasons for Burnaby Express. For the next four seasons he was on the ice for Northeastern University . Its ice hockey team is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association ( Hockey East ). The last two of the four seasons McNeely was also team captain .
In 2010 McNeely moved to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the AHL . These are the farm team of the New York Islanders , for which he never ran aground. After two seasons he went to the South Carolina Stingrays in the ECHL . During the season McNeely completed a try-out with the Providence Bruins in the AHL, but received no contract and then moved to the Lake Erie Monsters . For the 2013/14 season, McNeely was signed by the Starbulls Rosenheim , who are at home in the DEL2 , and was one of the top performers there in the following four game years.
From the 2017/18 season on, McNeely played for the Bietigheim Steelers , with whom he won the DEL2 championship in 2018. In 104 games for the Steelers, he scored 49 goals.
For the 2019/20 season, McNeely is moving to EC Bad Tölz within the DEL2 .
