Church awards and offices

Cause St. Pölten

From 2001 to 2004 he was Regens of the seminary of the diocese of St. Pölten . He and his deputy as Regens, Wolfgang Rothe , got into the headlines as a result of the so-called "Scandal of St. Pölten", which dealt with the moral misconduct of some seminarians and the leadership behavior and (state) legal homosexual acts of the regents.

As a result, Küchl resigned all of his church offices. He has always denied the allegations made against him and still does so today.
