Ultra Naté Wyche (born March 20, 1968 in Havre de Grace , Maryland ) is an American singer who specializes in house , dance and R&B .

biography

Although Ultra Naté had numerous hits in the dance charts and in the USA from 1991 to 2008 six top runners in the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Charts ( Show Me, Free, Found a Cure, Desire, Get It Up, Give It All You Got ) and six other top 10 hits, she is best known for her 1997 hit Free , which was her only worldwide hit in the sales charts and was awarded a gold record in the UK . The song reached its highest ranking in the UK charts (number 4). For the soundtrack to the film Studio 54 , she recorded together with Amber and Jocelyn Enriquez as "Stars on 54" the song If You Could Read My Mind , which became an international success.

Except for the USA, she was particularly successful at the end of the 1990s in Great Britain , where her album Situation: Critical also hit the charts and sold over a million copies worldwide. Most of the songs were written together with the New York producer duo Mood II Swing on the house label Strictly Rhythm .
