History and organization

On November 6, 1874, the University of Adelaide was founded. This makes it the oldest university in South Australia, the third oldest university in Australia and older than most universities in England. The university is spread over four locations; the main campus is in the city center on North Terrace ; other locations include Waite Campus, Roseworthy Campus and Thebarton Campus in the suburb of Thebarton .

She belongs to the Group of Eight . 5 Nobel Prize winners studied here. In 2004, 18,960 students were enrolled, of which more than 3,000 were foreign students from more than 70 countries.
