organization
The UArctic / UArktis is governed by a representation system of the individual sub-members. This has gradually developed since it was founded. The Rectors' Forum was the last to be established.
The UArctic Council, which consists of representatives from all member organizations, forms part of this representation system. This essentially forms the legislature of the university board. The Council elects the Toyon , who works on current issues, comparable to the executive , the Rector (President) as the main representative to the outside world. Currently this is Lars Kullerud ( UNEP-GRID Norway ). The secretariat looks after the website, the newsletter and other media appearances of the UArctic. It is located in Rovaniemi ( University of Lapland ), Finland . The Rectors' Forum also exists.
