history

The present village was probably laid out in the 14th century during the settlement of the Scharfenstein rule under the von Michelsberg rulers by German colonists. The name of the place suggests that a Sorbian settlement already existed before, which was named after a Vschemil . The first documentary mention of Schemel was in the town register of Kamnitz in 1381 . At that time there was also a bureau resident in the village. In 1407 the Berken von Dubá acquired the Scharfensteiner lands, in 1450 Johann von Wartenberg became the owner of the estate. Nicholas III Trčka von Lípa , who had bought the entire Wartenberg estate in 1511 for 60,000 shock groschen, sold it to Hans von Salhausen auf Wehlen in 1515 at a price 10,000 shock higher .

In 1522 Hans shared the property with his brothers Friedrich and Wolf von Salhausen. Friedrich received a stool and had a new castle built in Bensen . Wolf von Salhausen received his share. in a further division in 1535 the rule of Kamnitz arose, which later passed into the possession of the Wartenbergs. In 1614 Johann von Wartenberg sold all his possessions to Radslav Kinsky on Kamnitz . In 1619 his nephew Wilhelm Kinsky inherited the rule. He was murdered in Eger in 1634 together with Albrecht von Waldstein . In 1635 Wilhelm nephew and heir Johann Octavian Kinsky received the rule of Kamnitz. After the parish in Windisch Kamnitz had expired , the village became the St. Jakobus Church in Kamnitz in 1630. The Berní rula from 1654 shows 24 properties for Ssemel . In 1713 the village consisted of 30 houses. Around 1750, three hamlets were built on the river, a cleared plateau north of Schemmel. There were a total of six gardeners' inns on the front, rear and lower series. After the establishment of a branch church in Windisch Kamnitz, Schemel was reassigned its district in 1775. The Kinsky princes were the landlords until the middle of the 19th century. In 1833, 477 people lived in Schemmel's 81 houses.

Look at the old school

After the abolition of patrimonial Schemmel formed with the district Schemmler Follow from 1850 a political municipality in the district authority Tetschen / Děčín. In 1869 the community had 558 inhabitants, after which there was a population decline due to migration to factory locations. In 1881, the Ferdinandsklamm, named in honor of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Este , was dammed and a boat trip on the Kamnitz to the weir of the Grundmühle was set up below the village. In the same year Edmund von Clary and Aldringen had a lookout tower built on the Rosenberg and on May 4th 1890 an inn opened on the mountain. In 1890 510 people lived in the village. During this time, Schemmel developed into a summer resort. In 1927 the industrial community Nestomitz built a children's rest home in the village. In 1930 the community of Schemmel had 372 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement , Kamnitzleiten was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Tetschen district until 1945 , and from 1943 Tetschen-Bodenbach . In 1939 323 people lived in Schemmel. After the end of the Second World War, Všemily came back to Czechoslovakia. The German residents were expelled until 1946 . In 1948 the community was assigned to the newly created Okres Nový Bor. Všemily lost its independence in 1961 and was incorporated into Jetřichovice and at the same time came back to Okres Děčín. At that time the village had 113 inhabitants. In 1991 the place had 61 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 51 houses in which 59 people lived.
