coat of arms

Blazon : “Within a shield border split by gold and red ; split by red and gold; in front a silver bar; behind a blue crowned and armored looking, double-tailed red lion. "

The coat of arms was awarded on January 17, 1973 by the Koblenz district government . The front half of the shield refers to the seal of the Gallscheid court in the Kurtrier colors. The lion in the back half of the shield refers to the former belonging to the lower county of Katzenelnbogen . The shield border as such marks the coat of arms as that of an office .

traffic

In terms of transport, the municipality is developed through the federal motorway 61 and the Hunsrückhöhenstrasse . The Hunsrück Railway runs between Boppard in the Rhine Valley and Emmelshausen - the steepest non-gear-driven railway line in Germany .

societies

Around 100 associations in the Emmelshausen community are responsible for a large number of local festivals and events and thus make a contribution to social interaction and the maintenance of customs .
