The typographical headquartered in Vienna operates under the brand Austria Trend Hotels is a hotel group, specializing in urban and business travel and meetings and events.

The majority of the total of 27 hotels, with 15 hotels and an exclusive suite, are located in Schönbrunn Palace in the greater Vienna area , with a further seven in the Austrian provincial capitals of Salzburg , Graz , Linz and Innsbruck . The group also includes three resort hotels in Tyrol . The group is represented in neighboring countries with a hotel in Bratislava and a hotel in Ljubljana .

history

The 100% subsidiary of Österreichische Verkehrsbüro Aktiengesellschaft was established in 1988 when the Verkehrsbüro took over Austropa Hotels International GmbH . In 1997 the company was merged with Austria Trend Hotel GmbH , from which today's Austria Trend Hotels brand emerged .

With the participation in Ruefa CS spol. sro in Bratislava, Verkehrsbüro AG entered the CEE countries for the first time in 1991 . Further participations followed in the following years with the Czech Republic , Hungary , Poland and Romania . The first Austria Trend Hotel in CEE opened in 2008 in Ljubljana .

In 2011 the company expanded. Three new subsidiaries were taken over, new openings and renovations carried out and Motel One entered the low-budget design hotel market .

In 2013 Austria Trend Hotels repositioned itself as a “quality brand with a high level of service”. Innovations include a. an individual choice of pillows for the guest as well as the switch to selected organic, regional foods. The logo was redesigned and a new color scheme was introduced for the three performance categories (Smart, Comfort, Premium).

According to the company, it is the largest Austrian hotel group with 27 locations. The majority of the capacities of 9,600 beds are in the four-star category and the city hotel industry .

When setting up the hotel portfolio, the company primarily relies on lease agreements in the city hotel industry . Measured by the number of beds, 87.2% of the total capacities can be attributed to this type of operation, in which Verkehrsbüro Hotellerie GmbH operates the hotels in its own name and at its own risk, paying an annual lease fee. A holiday resort and four city hotels are run as management companies on the owner's behalf and for the account.

Hotel categories

Since the repositioning in 2013, Austria Trend Hotels have been divided into three different categories: SMART , COMFORT and PREMIUM . These are intended to offer the guest “quick orientation about the services offered”.

The SMART Hotels belong to the low budget category. Hotels in the COMFORT category offer additional services such as event and seminar rooms as well as event support. Special 4 and 5 star hotels are operated in the PREMIUM category . The houses have a central location and are architecturally characterized by their individual style and elegant ambience. There are nine exclusive Austria Trend Hotels as well as a suite opened in spring 2014 in Schönbrunn Palace . The most famous hotels of the PREMIUM class include the 4-star hotels Hotel Europa on Neuer Markt and the Parkhotel Schönbrunn , both in Vienna, as well as the 5-star resort hotel Schloss Lebenberg in Kitzbühel.

Seminar and conference rooms

In the MICE area (meetings, incentives, conventions and events), Austria Trend Hotels in Vienna have 9,500 m² of event space available. The planning and implementation of events is also offered as a service by the hotel group.

Hotel Astoria (1010 Vienna)
The 4-star Hotel Astoria on Vienna's Kärntner Strasse was built in the turn of the century and opened in 1912. Aristocrats from home and abroad, scientists, politicians, diplomats as well as stage and film stars stayed at the Astoria. After the Second World War , the hotel was renovated in 1948. In March 1978 the Österreichische Verkehrsbüro AG took over the ongoing redesign of the hotel.
Hotel Europa (1010)
Today's 4-star Hotel Europa was opened in 1896 under the name Hotel Meißl & Schadn . The hotel is located on the Neuer Markt in the middle of the old town.
Hotel Rathauspark (1010)
The 4-star Hotel Rathauspark is located in the listed building of the former Königswarter house at Rathausstrasse 17 . The palace in the Neuwiener-Renaissance style was built in 1882 and is located in the Austrian government district.
Hotel Lassalle (1020)
The 4-star Hotel Lassalle is located in Vienna's 2nd district and is directly connected to the U1 underground line .
Hotel Messe Vienna (1020)

Hotel Doppio (1030)
The 4-star Hotel Doppio is located on the upper floors of the T-Center in Neu Marx. The office and business center won the Otto Wagner Urban Development Award in 2004 .
Hotel Savoy (1030)
The building of the Hotel Savoyen was originally an Austrian state printing company and is located near the Belvedere Palace . The rooms of the hotel, dedicated to Prince Eugene of Savoy , were named after important stages in life and relatives of the Prince.
Hotel Beim Theresianum (1040)
The 3-star hotel at Theresianum in Vienna's 4th district was built in 1984. The last partial renovation was carried out in 2009. The hotel is located near the city center and is connected to the U1 underground line.
Hotel Pineapple (1050)
The Hotel Ananas in the 5th district of Vienna is Austria's largest 4-star hotel with 522 rooms . The hotel was built as a new building to the left and right of the Vorwärts building in place of the previous wings of the Vorwärts publishing house.
Hotel Anatol (1060)
The 4-star Hotel Anatol is located near Mariahilfer Strasse and the Westbahnhof .
Hotel Bosei (1100)
The Hotel Bosei is located in the Wienerberg recreation area . The Vienna Twin Tower and the Euro Plaza are nearby.
Parkhotel Schoenbrunn (1130)
The Parkhotel Schönbrunn was once the emperor's guest house. Famous personalities such as Johann Strauss father and son , Joseph Lanner , the guests invited to the audience by Emperor Franz Joseph I , Thomas Alva Edison , Peter Alexander , Conny Froboess , Hans Albers , Robert Stolz and Asta Nielsen give the building its historical significance. During the Second World War the house was used as a military hospital, later as an officers' mess for the English occupation troops. The Parkhotel was renovated in 2010 and reopened in November 2011.
Schönbrunn Palace Grand Suite (1130)
The Schönbrunn Palace Suite was opened in spring 2014, is located in the east wing of Schönbrunn Palace and is an imperial residence with 167 square meters. The service is carried out by the Parkhotel Schönbrunn next door.
Radisson Blu Park Royal Palace Vienna (1150)
The Hotel Park Royal Palace is located near the Schönbrunn Palace next to the Technical Museum on the site where the IMAX cinema used to be. The hotel received the superior award in December 2012.
Wilhelminenberg Castle (1160)
Today's Wilhelminenberg Palace was built between 1903 and 1908 in the Neo- Empire style according to the plans of the architect Eduard Frauenfeld. The hotel was reopened in 2003 after the renovation and is located on the north-western outskirts of Vienna.

Hotel Europa (Graz)
The 4-star Hotel Europa in Graz is located in the historic old town near Graz Central Station . The hotel was built in the 1980s and extensively modernized and refurbished between 1995 and 1997.

Hotel Congress Innsbruck
The Hotel Congress Innsbruck is located in Innsbruck's villa district Saggen and is in the immediate vicinity of the Hungerburgbahn , which takes you to an altitude of 2,300 meters in just a few minutes. The “Nordkette” ski area can be reached via the Nordkettenbahn station directly opposite the hotel.
Hotel Schloss Lebenberg
The Hotel Schloss Lebenberg is located about one kilometer from Kitzbühel on the 80 meter high Lebenberg hill. In 1693, the Imperial Count Johann Philipp von Lamberg acquired Lebenberg Castle , in 1885 it was expanded considerably and after the redesign it became one of the first guest houses in Kitzbühel.
Alpine Resort Fieberbrunn
The four-star hotel Alpine Resort Fieberbrunn opened in December 2009. The resort is right next to the gondola lift in the Tyrolean winter sports resort of Fieberbrunn , on the slope of the Doischberg.

The Austria Trend Hotel Ljubljana is located near the old city center of the Slovenian capital. The Convention Center, the BTC City shopping center, the University of Economics and the Stožice Center are in the immediate vicinity.
Hotel Bratislava
The Austria Trend Hotel Bratislava was built in 2009 and is located in the center of the Slovak capital, at the beginning of the pedestrian zone.

Subsidiaries of Verkehrsbüro Hotellerie GmbH

The Global Hotel & Tourism Consulting (GHTC) was established as a 100% subsidiary of Office Group. The GHTC creates studies and concepts for hotel and tourism projects. The tasks include asset management , operational auditing , technical management and quality control. The temporary employment of sales and marketing specialists or managers for tourism companies is also offered.

The Motel One Austria GmbH is a company jointly by the typographical and Germany Motel One Group was founded. As part of this joint venture, Motel One brand low-budget design hotels are being built in Austria. The first Motel One was opened in Salzburg. Another Motel One was opened at the end of 2011 in the new BahnhofsCity Wien West . A Motel One was also opened in the Prater next to the trade fair, one next to the State Opera, and a Motel One at the new Vienna Central Station.
