Muffat-Jeandet took part in FIS races and national youth championships from December 2004 . The first start in the European Cup followed in January 2007. In his next European Cup appearances in December 2007, he won the first points. In addition, as tenth in the giant slalom in St. Vigil, he achieved his first top 10 result at this level. From the 2008/09 season Muffat-Jeandet was regularly at the start in the European Cup. After further top 10 placements, he was also used at the Junior World Championships 2009 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , where he just missed the medal ranks as fourth in the slalom and giant slalom. A week before the Junior World Championships, on February 28, 2009, Muffat-Jeandet made his World Cup debut in the giant slalom in Kranjska Gora . From the 2009/10 season onwards he played regularly in the World Cup, but for a long time he could not qualify for the second round in any race.
In addition to the World Cup, Muffat-Jeandet continued to mainly compete in the European Cup. He achieved his first podium finish on February 9, 2010 as third in the Méribel slalom and was among the top ten in the overall and slalom rankings for the first time in the 2010/11 season . He celebrated his first European Cup victory on December 22, 2011 in Madonna di Campiglio . Almost four months later a second place followed in Courmayeur , with which he won the slalom European Cup ranking of the 2011/2012 season . On December 9th, 2012 he won his first World Cup points in the giant slalom of Val-d'Isère , his 25th World Cup race, finishing 29th. The best result in the 2012/13 World Cup season was a 16th place. In mid-March 2013 he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury at the European Cup final in Sochi , which forced him to take a break for several months.
Despite this setback, Muffat-Jeandet finished in the top ten in the World Cup for the first time on February 2, 2014, when he finished the giant slalom in St. Moritz in seventh place. However, given the strength of the French team, this was not enough to qualify for the Winter Olympics. In the 2014/15 World Cup winter , Muffat-Jeandet was increasingly classified in the top 10. On January 16, 2015, he achieved his first World Cup podium finish with second place in the super combination of Wengen (after the downhill he was still in 28th place). Seventh place a month later in the World Cup giant slalom in Beaver Creek is his best result at World Championships so far. With a second and two third places in the giant slaloms of Beaver Creek , Val-d'Isère and Alta Badia at the beginning of the 2015/16 season , Muffat-Jeandet finally caught up with the world's best in this discipline. With the second place in the super combination of Kitzbühel on January 22nd, 2016 he contributed to the French triple success, behind Alexis Pinturault and in front of Thomas Mermillod Blondin .
In the 2016/17 season , Muffat-Jeandet could not quite build on the performance of the pre-winter and was classified four times in the top ten. In retrospect, he blamed personal problems and poor coordination of his material. After a subdued start to the 2017/18 season , he celebrated his first World Cup victory in the Wengen combination on January 12, 2018 after improving from 27th to first place in the slalom section. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he won the bronze medal in the combination behind Marcel Hirscher and Pinturault, while he finished sixth in the giant slalom and the slalom. Also in the 2018/19 season there was a podium finish when he finished second in the Wengen combination.
