List of French champions in alpine skiing
The list of French champions in alpine skiing lists all athletes who have won a French championship title in a discipline of alpine skiing since 1942.
From 1907 to 1941 there was the title of French ski champion. He combined ski jumping and cross-country skiing , from 1933 slalom and downhill competitions also contributed to the overall result. Originally organized by the Club Alpin Français , the Fédération française de ski (FFS) took over this championship in 1924. In addition to downhill , slalom and combined , the FFS included giant slalom in its championship program in 1949, but from 1949 to 1956 there was no combined classification. In 1988 a super-G was held for the first time and in 2007 the combination was replaced by the super-combination . In 1979 there was a championship title in parallel slalom and in 2008 and 2009 a title in indoor slalom.
From 1942 to 2019 a total of 113 men and 89 women won at least one title, 73 men and 62 women won more than one championship. The record winner is Florence Masnada , who was champion 14 times from 1985 to 1999. Record winners are Luc Alphand with ten titles from 1985 to 1997 and Adrien Théaux with ten titles from 2007 to 2017. Alphand also holds the record of victories in a discipline with eight downhill runs, while Perrine Pelen has won seven times in the slalom for women .
