Marmottan contested her first FIS races in December 2003 and reached the podium for the first time a year later. The first victory followed in March 2006. In January 2005 and January 2006 she took part in competitions in the European Cup for the first time , but did not yet reach the points. Since the 2006/07 season , the Frenchwoman has regularly competed in the European Cup. On January 6th, 2007 she got her first points with the surprising seventh place in the Melchsee-Frutt slalom . Before that, a 38th place was her best result. From now on she was able to classify herself regularly in the points, achieved three more top 10 results this winter and at the end of the season only narrowly missed her first podium with fourth place in the second descent from Santa Caterina . At the Junior World Championships in 2007 she reached eighth place in the giant slalom.
In the 2007/08 European Cup season , Marmottan was by no means able to repeat the previous year's results. She had to struggle with many failures and was only once among the top 30. She fared better at the Junior World Championships 2008 in Formigal , where she was tenth in giant slalom and 13th in slalom. In the 2008/09 European Cup season she was able to classify herself regularly in the points and achieved four top 10 results. Her best result was sixth place in the super combined by Caspoggio .
In the winter of 2008/09 she also competed in her first four World Cup races , but she could not qualify for the second round in any of these giant slaloms. After she remained unsuccessful in the first two World Cup races of the 2009/10 season , she reached 16th place in the giant slalom in Aspen on November 28, 2009 , winning World Cup points for the first time. Marmottan took part in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and finished as the second best French woman in 11th place in the giant slalom. At the end of winter she reached her first podium in the European Cup with second place in the slalom of Kranjska Gora .
On December 12, 2010, Marmottan achieved her best ever World Cup result with fourth place in the giant slalom in St. Moritz . She equalized this result on February 6, 2011 in the giant slalom in Zwiesel . In the Alpine World Skiing Championships 2011 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , she won the French team team event , the giant slalom she was ranked No. 14. On March 1, 2011 she suffered during retraction for the European Cup slalom in Zakopane a tibia and fibula fracture in his right leg. In the following season 2011/12 Marmottan drove in three World Cup giant slaloms in the top ten.
