Voré

Voré (* 1941 as Volker Erhard in Karlsruhe ) is a German sculptor , installation artist and multimedia artist .

Life

From 1961 to 1966 Voré studied sculpture with Hans Kindermann at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe ; from 1972 to 1973 he had a teaching position at the Pforzheim University of Design ; from 1973 to 2004 he was a professor in the design department at the Münster University of Applied Sciences . Voré has been a member of the German Association of Artists since 1976 . Between 1973 and 1984 he took part in a total of eleven large annual DKB exhibitions. He is also a member of the Baden-Württemberg Artists 'Association , the West German Artists' Association and the New Group in Munich ; he was its president from 2006 to 2009. Since 2012 he has been the artistic director of the Kunstweg am Reichenbach association .

Voré lives and works in Ettlingen , Karlsruhe district .

Voré's works, his drawings, pictures, sculptures, installations and multimedia projects have been shown in numerous exhibitions since 1964. The determining themes are always anthropomorphic fragments, states and situations, which are to be understood as coded statements on existential social and individual circumstances. Installations that respond to the surrounding space and integrate with the choice of means and motifs are preferred.
