Walter Wischniewsky
Walter Wischniewsky (born September 16, 1912 in Berlin ; † February 1, 1995 there ) was a German film editor .
Life
He began working for film in Berlin in 1932 as an assistant editor and worked as an editor from 1936. At first he worked for smaller companies and had been employed by UFA since the beginning of the Second World War , also unnamed for the prestigious Munchausen film . Sometimes he was used as an assistant director and production manager.
After the end of the war he was able to continue his profession from 1947 and became one of the busiest film editors in German film in the 1950s and 1960s. He often worked for the Berlin producer Artur Brauner in his CCC film studios . Overall, Wischniewsky worked in his function on several hundred films. In 1975 he retired into private life.
