The advertising is a 13.25 km long, orographically left or northern tributary of the Edersee through which the Eder flows in the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg , Hesse ( Germany ).
course
The advertising originates in the northwest of North Hesse, east of Korbach . Its source is around 800 m north of the eastern Korbach district of Strothe between the wooded mountains "Marke" ( 440 m above sea level ) in the west and "Kippe" ( 420.8 m above sea level ) in the east at around 358 m above sea level. NN .
The advertising initially flows east past the village of Strothe, heading south. Then the brook runs mainly to the south-southeast and under a tunnel located in a high embankment as a pure water passage at brook kilometer 9.3, the disused Ederseebahn, the middle part of the railway line Wabern-Brilon-Wald , which was in the Korbach- Buhlen section from 2008 to 2012 was converted into the Ederseebahn cycle path .
The west of Korbach district My Ringshausen coming Walme picking up and a little later the B 251 crossing passes the advertising to Alraft where from the same direction from the Hof Lauterbach flowing approach Lauterbach opens. Then it reaches Ober- and finally Nieder-Werbe (the last three villages mentioned are districts of Waldeck ).
The advertising opens at the northern limits of the natural park Keller Edersee just south of low advertising and after flowing through the smaller of two adjacent Edersee- Vorbecken from northwest coming to around 245 m above sea level. NN into the Edersee through which the Eder flows and dammed up by the Edertalsperre . A former left tributary of the Werbe flows into the larger fore basin with the Reiherbach coming from the northeast .
Watershed
The source of the Werbe is near the Diemel-Eder / Fulda / Weser watershed : The water of the Werbe, which flows in a south-south-east direction, drains from the Edersee to the east and north-east via Eder and Fulda into the Weser , while that from some of the west of the mountain " Brand ”on the Waldecker Tafel near the northern outskirts of Korbach, Bach's“ wool bag ”, which flows northeast over the Twiste and Diemel into the Weser.

The tributaries of the Werbe, whose catchment area covers 42.263 km², include downstream with orographic allocation (l = left-hand side, r = right-hand side), length of water and mouth with Werbe river kilometers :
- Walme (r; 3.25 km), on the B 251 above Alraft (to Waldeck ; km 8.15)
- Lauterbach (r; 4.5 km), in Alraft (to Waldeck; km 6.15)
- Reiherbach (l; 8.4 km, was a tributary until the construction of the dam ), near Nieder-Werbe (to Waldeck; approx. Km 0)
