Wilfried Gebhard

Wilfried Gebhard (born October 18, 1944 in Crailsheim ) is a German picture book author, illustrator and cartoonist .

Live and act

Wilfried Gebhard spent the first years of his childhood in Westgartshausen near Crailsheim. Then he moved with his family to Stuttgart, where from 1962 to 1965 he attended Robert Förch's drawing class at the technical college for the graphic industry. Then he studied until 1968 at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart with Walter Brudi and Günther Jacki.

First he worked for advertising and published in numerous magazines and journals. In 1987 his first cartoon book appeared. There were works for children's television in the Siebenstein series of the ZDF , then in 1992 with Auf der Straße ist was los a hidden picture book as his first picture book at Lappan Verlag . In addition to his independent book publications, he has appeared as an illustrator of numerous picture books as well as books for children and young people by other authors .

Wilfried Gebhard has lived and worked with his family in Maulbronn since 1970 .
