Witolub

Witolub (German Hühnerheide ) is a residential area near the town of Karlino (Körlin) in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . The place belongs to the Gmina Karlino (town and country municipality Körlin) in the powiat Białogardzki (Belgarder Kreis) .

The place to live is in Western Pomerania , around three to four kilometers northeast of Karlino. It consists of a group of houses on either side of the road to Świemino (Schwemmin) . At the northern edge of this group of houses is the Dębolas residential area (forest house Stadtwald) .

history

Mostly in the middle of the 19th century, several individual courtyards, so-called dismantles , were built on the town field belonging to Körlin . These were first summarized in 1885 under the name Hühnerheide .

The place name is, however, much older: On the Lubin map from 1618 a place “Honerheid” is entered north of Körlin. In Ludwig Wilhelm Brüggemanns Detailed description of the present state of the Royal Prussian duchy and Eastern Pomerania from 1784 appeared "Hünerheide" as a "royal office husbandry", so a Vorwerk with agricultural economy, which was shared with the urban field.

Until 1945, Hühnerheide formed a residential area for the city of Körlin and belonged with this to the Kolberg-Körlin district in the Prussian province of Pomerania .

In 1945 the place, like the rest of the Pomerania region, was placed under Polish administration. The population was replaced by Poles. Hühnerheide was given the Polish name Witolub .

Today the place belongs to the Gmina Karlino (town and country municipality Körlin) , in which it forms its own Schulzenamt , which also includes the residential area Dębolas (forest house Stadtwald) .
