X Brands (born July 24, 1927 in Kansas City , Missouri , † May 8, 2000 in Northridge , California ; also Jay X. Brands ) was an American actor and stuntman of German descent.

Act

Brands played in numerous TV series and films between 1952 and 1979, plus several stunts. Mainly he played the character of an indomitable Indian, including in his parade role as the mostly quiet Pawnee Indian Pahoo-Ka-Ta-Wah ( wolf standing in the water ) in the 1958/1959 CBS western series Yancy Derringer . There he was the companion of Jock Mahoney in his leading role as Yancy Derringer in all 34 episodes . Frequent co-actress there was Frances Bergen as the game club owner Madame Francine . Brands was honored for his authentic portrayal and ability to speak the language of the Pawnees in a letter from Pawnee Indian spokesman Brummett Echohawk to the Hollywood producers.

In addition, X Brands played in 16 episodes of the series Roy Bean, a judge in the wild west in 1956 , in nine episodes of Cowboy G-Men in 1952/1953 , in eight episodes of The Adventures of Kit Carson in 1954/1955 and in seven from 1968 to 1975 Episodes of Smoking Colts .

In 1973 he played the role of Hook at the side of Glenn Ford in Santee, the loner , in 1966 he was Vallejo in Three Foreign Legionaries .
