Yves Jansen
Yves Jansen (born July 4, 1952 in Aarau ) is a Swiss theater director , actor and author .
biography
Yves (actually Ivo) Jansen gave up his profession as a teacher at a young age in order to complete an acting course with a diploma at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts . This was followed by work as an assistant director at the Schauspielhaus Zürich with Harry Buckwitz and at the Schauspielhaus Bochum with Hans Neuenfels . After acting as an actor in television and film as well as at stages such as the former Schillertheater in Berlin and the Theater Basel , Jansen completed an internship as a director at the Berliner Ensemble .
In 1981 he showed his first own production at the Junge Theater Berlin with Samuel Beckett's The Last Volume . Since 1988 he has worked exclusively as a director. He prefers to work with the set designer Hans Winkler.
The preparatory work that began in 1998 for his staging of Goethe's Faust I and II inspired him to write. From 2003 he worked on his first novel Platzek's Skinning , which was published by Conte Verlag in 2005 and presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair .
In the same year Jansen co-founded the “Ensemble Proszenium Hamburg”, with which he implemented directing projects.
Yves Jansen lives with his Bolivian partner Lenny R. Pozo Encinas in Hamburg ; the couple has a son (* 2005).
