Zachy ( German  things ) is a small place in the Polish Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the rural community Janowo in the powiat Nidzicki ( Neidenburg district ).

Geographical location

Zachy is located in the southwestern center of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship , 20 kilometers east of the district town of Nidzica ( German  Neidenburg ).

history

The small Good Chemilink to 1574 Sakowa and above 1,785 Property, Owen called, was founded around the 1556th In 1874 the manor district was incorporated into the newly established district of Roggen (Polish: Róg ) in the East Prussian district of Neidenburg .

In 1910, the estate had 84 inhabitants. On September 30, 1928, things gave up its independence and merged with Roggen to form the rural community of Roggen .

In 1945, as a result of the war, the entire southern East Prussia - and with it the Gutsdorf valley - was transferred to Poland . Things got the Polish name form "Zachy" and is today as the seat of a Schulzenamt (Polish Sołectwo ) a place in the network of the rural community Janowo in the powiat Nidzicki ( Neidenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Until 1945 things were parish in the Protestant church Muschaken (Polish: Muszaki ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Roman Catholic Church of Neidenburg (Polish: Nidzica ) in the diocese of Warmia . Today Zachy belongs on the Protestant side to the parish of Róg (Roggen) , a branch of the parish in Nidzica in the Masuria diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland , and on the Catholic side to the Muszaki parish in the Archdiocese of Warmia .

Zachy is located on a side road that branches off from Voivodship Road 604 at Jagarzewo (Jägersdorf) and leads via Wichrowiec (Wychrowitz , 1938 to 1945 Hardichhausen) to Róg (rye) . There is no connection to rail traffic .
