The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will compete under the shortened name of Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics.

Heading into the championships, UK Athletics a target of three medals and fourteen top eight-placed athletes. Five medals were won and there were thirteen top eight finishes.
