Kim Jung-nam (Korean: 김정남; Hanja: 金正男; born January 28, 1943) is a South Korean football manager and former football player. He was manager of most win record holder in the K League.[2]
Career
Kim Jung-nam is regarded as one of the greatest South Korean centre-back duos of all time with Kim Ho. He was noted for ball keeping, technical ability and calm defense.
Kim Jung-nam was selected for the national youth team in 1962 and also the national team in the year. He was on the national team until 1973 with 67 caps. He won the 1970 Asian Games with his team. He was also selected for Summer Olympics qualification three times. In the group of the 1968 Olympics qualification, South Korea finished second. Their points were tied with Japan, the group winners, but they were eliminated by goal difference, and Japan won the bronze medal in the 1968 Olympics.
He managed the South Korea national team for 1986 FIFA World Cup qualification and South Korea qualified the World Cup first time in 32 years after the 1954 World Cup.
