Ågerup Sogn was a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the Danish island of Zealand . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Merløse Herred in what was then Holbæk Amt , then to Holbæk Kommune in Vestsjællands Amt , which in turn became part of the expanded Holbæk Municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the local government reform on January 1, 2007 .
On October 1, 2011 there were 1605 inhabitants in the parish. Less than 200 inhabitants live in the church village itself. The "Ågerup Kirke" lies on the territory of the municipality.
The neighboring parish was the divided parish of Grandløse Sogn in the north and west , Tølløse Sogn in the south, Sønder Asmindrup Sogn in the south-west and Sankt Nicolai Sogn in the north-west .
On November 27, 2011 (1st Advent ) Grandløse Sogn was merged with Ågerup Sogn and Sønder Asmindrup Sogn to form Vipperød Sogn .
