Hjembæk-Svinninge Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . It was created on October 1, 2012 by amalgamating the previously independent parishes of Hjembæk Sogn and Svinninge Sogn . Until 1970 both belonged to Harde Tuse Herred in the then Holbæk Office , then to Svinninge Municipality in Vestsjællands Office , but an area that belonged to Hjembæk Sogn until 2004 was in Tornved Municipality . Both municipalities were in the course of municipal reform on 1 January 2007 in the holbæk municipality in Region Zealand on.
3,636 inhabitants live in the parish, 2802 of them in Svinninge (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Svinninge Kirke" and "Hjembæk Kirke"
Neighboring municipalities are Kundby Sogn in the east and Jyderup Sogn in the south , Bjergsted Sogn and Særslev Sogn in the neighboring Kalundborg municipality to the west and Vallekilde Sogn and Hørve Sogn in the neighboring Odsherred municipality to the north .
