Sønder Asmindrup Sogn was a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to the Harde Merløse Herred in the then Holbæk office , then to the Holbæk municipality in the Vestsjællands office , which was merged into the "new" Holbæk municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
On October 1, 2011 there were 1027 inhabitants in the parish. In the parish is the church "Sønder Asmindrup Kirke".
Neighboring municipalities were Tveje Merløse Sogn in the north, Grandløse Sogn in the north-east, Ågerup Sogn in the east, Tølløse Sogn in the south-east , Kvanløse Sogn in the west and Søstrup Sogn in the north-west .
On November 27, 2011 (1st Advent ) Grandløse Sogn was merged with Ågerup Sogn and Sønder Asmindrup Sogn to form Vipperød Sogn .
