Vipperød Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . It was created on November 27, 2011 (1st Advent ) when the former parishes of Grandløse Sogn, Ågerup Sogn and Sønder Asmindrup Sogn were merged to form Vipperød Sogn. Until 1970 the municipality belonged to Harde Merløse Herred in what was then Holbæk Amt , then to Holbæk Municipality in Vestsjællands Amt , which was merged into the "new" Holbæk Municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
4,637 inhabitants live in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish are the churches "Grandløse Kirke", "Ågerup Kirke" and "Sønder Asmindrup Kirke".
Neighboring municipalities are Tølløse Sogn in the south, Kvanløse Sogn and Søstrup Sogn in the west, Tveje Merløse Sogn in the north- west and Sankt Nikolai Sogn in the north and Kirke Sonnerup Sogn in the neighboring Lejre municipality to the east .
