Butterup Sogn is a former parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to the Harde Merløse Herred in the then Holbæk office , then to the Holbæk municipality in the expanded Holbæk office, which was merged into the "new" Holbæk municipality in the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
On December 2, 2012 Butterup Sogn was merged with the northern neighboring municipality of Tuse Sogn to Butterup-Tuse Sogn . In the parish lived on October 1, 2012 239 inhabitants, in Tuse Sogn 2881. The church "Butterup Kirke" is located in the parish.
Neighboring municipalities were Tuse Sogn in the north, Søstrup Sogn in the south-east, Nørre Jernløse Sogn in the south, Mørkøv Sogn in the south-west and Kundby Sogn in the west .
