Skamstrup Kirke

Skamstrup-Frydendal Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark , which was created on December 2, 2012 by merging the former Skamstrup Sogn with the neighboring municipality of Frydendal Sogn to the east . Until 1970, both belonged to the Harde Tuse Herred in the then Holbæk Office , then to the Tornved Municipality in the Vestsjællands Office , which became part of the Holbæk Municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

1772 inhabitants live in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish are the churches "Skamstrup Kirke" and "Frydendal Kirke".

Neighboring communities are in the west Holmstrup Sogn , in the northwest Jyderup Sogn , in the north Stigs Bjergby Sogn , in the northeast Mørkøv Sogn and in the east Sønder Jernløse Sogn and Søndersted Sogn, in the southeast Undløse Sogn , further in the neighboring municipality in the southeast Niløse Sogn and Sorø Kommune in the southeast neighboring Kalundborg municipality in southwest Reerslev Sogn .
