The 1966/67 season was the 28th season of the 1st divisjon , the highest Norwegian ice hockey division . Vålerenga Ishockey became champion for the sixth time in the club's history . Hasle-Løren IL and Allianseidrettslaget Skeid were relegated to the second division.

In the main round, each of the eight teams played a total of 14 games. The four best-placed teams qualified for the final round, in which the champions were played. The last two in the main round were relegated to the second division. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
