The 1994/95 season was the 56th season of the Eliteserien , the highest Norwegian ice hockey division . Storhamar Ishockey became champion for the first time in the club's history .

In the main round, each of the eight teams played a total of 28 games. The six best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. The last two placed in the main round had to compete in the relegation against the first two placed in the second division. The playoffs were initially played in two groups of three teams each. The top two in each group qualified for the playoff semifinals. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
