The 2007/08 season was the 69th season of the UPC leagues , the highest Norwegian ice hockey division . Champion was for the sixth time in the club's history Storhamar Ishockey . The Trondheim IK stopped playing after the season for financial reasons.

In the main round, each of the ten teams played a total of 44 games. The eight best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. The last two placed had to compete in the relegation against the first two placed in the second division. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime or shootout, one point for a defeat after overtime or shooutout and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
