1993–2003: 1st Decade in the Machines is a compilation with remixes of Ulver pieces. It was released by Jester Records in 2003 and distributed by Voices Music & Entertainment .

Creation and publication

For Ulver's 10th anniversary, Kristoffer Rygg and Joakim Haugland from Smalltown Supersound put together remixes of Ulver pieces from all of the band's creative periods by other artists. The compilation was mastered by Tom Kvålsvoll at Strype Audio. According to Haugland, the diversity of the artists involved and the quality of the results are intended to document how influential Ulver was on music.

style

reception

William York of Allmusic describes 1993–2003: 1st Decade in the Machines as a carefully put together compilation with unsurprising but tasteful interpretations of the originals, which he recommends especially to the hard core of Ulver fans.
